元禄九年八月の或る夜、
三谷村の庄屋 「佐左衛門」は、
不思議な夢を見ました。

「この郷の産子神である八剱大明神が、
村の東辺の若宮神社へ渡御なされた。」
まさしく神のお告げであると、
早速質素な神輿を設え八剱宮のご神霊を移し、
神幸の儀式を行いました。
これが「三谷祭」の始まりと言われています。

Floats and Shinfunes depart from the storehouses of each ward, with a view to Yatsugi Shrine.

The floats in each ward are lined up, and a Shinfune arrives in front of Yatsurugi Shrine.

Shrine

The shrine accompaniment arrives as a miyamoto (Matsu-ku) and enters the shrine at the cut of Nino Torii at Yatsurugi Shrine.

Matsuku Shinto Beginning

As a ritual, when the Matsuku “Kuguri Taiko” begins in front of the shrine, the dedication of performing arts is performed in the order of Yatsuruga Shrine, Nino Torii, Upper (H), Higashi, Nishi, Kita, and Naka. Proceed to God.
